Vanowen Street Bridge is a local embarrassment and an eyesore.

What needs to be done to get the Vanowen Street Bridge finished? It is an eyesore and L.A. Public Works blight on the surrounding community. This bridge has been in a condition of disrepair for more than two years and it seems no closer to opening now than it was 3 months ago. Graffiti covers the K-rails that block the south side of the bridge and construction materials are piled in the street as well as along the north side of the L.A. River bank just behind a modest apartment building at the intersection of Mason and Vanowen. It appears as if the work could be completed relatively quickly. When will the work be completed? Who needs to act?

If it's along the river, I suppose the city should ask the man (men?) living in the river to help. The so-called "hiding man." But there is probably more than one. Construction would be wrapped quickly.

Dylan what are you talking about, The homeless people? If so what has that got to do with this comment?

Quickly, did you see how long it took to redo the Reseda swimming pool, or the ridiculous exercise apparatus at the heavily used running area near the golf Course entry .

Along the pathway around Glendale and Los Feliz there are posters that mention the "hiding man" that lives in the brush. I saw at least 12 or so. Ther are photos online too. Just being silly that one "resident" can fix the bridge but some people are saying that there is alots of hiding man down there. Not sure if hiding man is homeless but seems to hang around the river alot
