Toluca Lake's Jane Kean, Trixie on 'The Honeymooners' Dead at 90

The actress was best known for teaming up Jackie Gleason on the second run of the classic sitcom.

Jane Kean, best known for playing the role of Trixie, Ed's wife on the revival of The Honeymooners, has passed away at the age of 90, CNN reports.

Kean, who was living in Toluca Lake at the time of her death, died on Tuesday when a fall led to a hemorrhagic stroke.

She first knew Honeymooners creator Jackie Gleason long ago during her Vaudeville days, she told CNN.

"As a matter of fact, we both -- I hate to say how long ago it was -- but we were doing one-nighters, the Loews Pitkin, Loews Melba," she said. "I was the singer on the bill and he was the comic. And we were getting $50 a show."

Kean was born on April 10, 1923 in Hartford, Connecticut.

She's had many other roles, including the voice of the voice of Belle in Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol, The Phil Silvers Show, The Facts of Life, Love Boat and the Lucy Show.

Her most notable role was playing Trixie Norton on the second iteration of The Honeymooners, a sketch show that ran periodically through 1978.
