Two people were trapped today in a vehicle that went over the side of the Ventura (134) Freeway in North Hollywood, a city fire official said.
The crash was reported at 2:41 p.m. at 4521 N. Lankershim Blvd., said Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The victims, a man and a woman, were extricated from the vehicle and taken to a hospital in fair condition, Spence said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
The car ended up in a ditch on the north side of the Lankershim Boulevard exit ramp and came to a rest upside down in front of North Hollywood Toyota's parking ramp. A California Highway Patrol officer at the scene declined to comment.
