$25K Reward Offered for Armed Studio City Post Office Robber

Witnesses report man leaving 3950 Laurel Canyon Blvd. armed with black semi-automatic handgun driving a dark-colored small SUV, possibly a Honda.

A reward of up to $25,000 was announced today by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man who robbed the Studio City Post Office.

The robbery occurred around 3 p.m. Wednesday at the post office at 3950 Laurel Canyon Blvd.

The suspect is white and in his late 40s-to early 50s. He is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall weighing 180 to 200 pounds with a medium build. He had a blond mustache and was wearing a beige T-shirt with jeans, worn white tennis shoes, black sunglasses and a green bandana.

The man was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun and was driving a dark-colored, small SUV, possibly a Honda CRV.

Authorities urged anyone encountering this suspect not to try to apprehend him, but contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at (877) 876- 2455.
