4 Injured, Hydrant Seared in Crash

The accident occurs at 11600 Oxnard St. in North Hollywood, according to the LAFD.

Four people were injured, one seriously, in a crash Friday night in North Hollywood that ended with a seared fire hydrant.

The two-vehicle crash was reported at 8:10 p.m. at 11600 Oxnard St., one block west of Lankershim Boulevard, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Two people were taken to hospitals, one in serious condition and the other with a minor injury, while two others declined further treatment, Scott said.

The hydrant was shut down and crews from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power were called to the scene.

The cause of the crash was unknown.
