Alleged Road Rage Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested
Los Angeles police arrested a Sun Valley man Tuesday on suspicion of felony hit and run in an alleged case of road rage that left a motorcycle rider hospitalized.
Mauricio Lopez, 39, was booked for failing to stop to render aid, police said.
Lopez allegedly was driving a white GMC Sonoma pickup about 3:25 p.m. Sunday, when he changed lanes in front of motorcycle rider on Vineland Avenue near Morrison Street, causing a dispute that ended with the truck rear-ending the bike, Los Angeles police said.

The name of the injured, 44-year-old victim was withheld. A witness to the collision followed the truck, but the driver eventually got out and ran. Police did not say how they found Lopez.
