Another DUI Checkpoint Planned for North Hollywood
Los Angeles police will continue their efforts to take impaired drivers off the city's roads with a DUI and license checkpoint in North Hollywood and saturation patrols in the Rampart area this weekend.
The checkpoint was scheduled to run from 8 p.m. tonight to 2 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Lankershim Boulevard and Vanowen Street in North Hollywood, according to Los Angeles police Officer Don Inman.
Saturation patrols will also begin at 4 p.m. today and run through midnight in the LAPD's Rampart Division.

Officers will be checking drivers passing through the checkpoint for signs of alcohol and drug impairment, said Inman. Officers will also make sure that drivers have valid licenses.
Funding for these operations was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
