Apartment Fire on Camarillo Damages 1 Unit

Firefighters are able to contain the Christmas Eve structure blaze.

Firefighters knocked down an apartment fire in North Hollywood, confining the damage to one unit, a department spokesman said Tuesday.

The fire was reported about 11 p.m. Monday at 11230 Camarillo Street, said fire department spokesman Shawn Lenske.

The department dispatched 39 firefighters to the scene, Lenske said. The flames were extinguished in 13 minutes, confining the damage to one apartment in the two-story building, Lenske said.

There were no reports of injuries, he said.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
