Apartment Fire Reported in Sun Valley

By City News Service

A blaze heavily damaged a unit in a two-story apartment complex in North Hollywood late Wednesday, but firefighters managed to keep it from spreading.

Other units were damaged, however, by water and smoke, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

There was no immediate word on what sparked the fire, which was reported at 5:10 p.m. at 7628 Lankershim Blvd.
