Car Falls Off Side of 101 Freeway, Lands in Apartment Parking Lot

There were no immediate reports that anyone was injured.

A vehicle went off the side of the Hollywood (101) Freeway in North Hollywood and landed in the parking lot of an apartment complex today, but there were no immediate reports that anyone was injured, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 3:38 p.m. on the southbound side of the freeway at Vineland Avenue, according to the CHP.

The vehicle ended up in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 11000 block of Acama Street, according to CHP Officer Alex Rubio.

Firefighters responded but did not take anyone to a hospital, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The Vineland Avenue offramp from the southbound 101 was closed so crews could repair a section of guardrail that was damaged in the accident, according to the CHP.
