Couple Suspected of Stealing Miley Cyrus's Maserati Arrested Today

The suspects, both in their 20s, were arrested in the area of Lankershim and Chandler boulevards by detectives who recognized one of them from surveillance.

A man and woman suspected of scaling a fence and taking a Maserati sports car from the North Hollywood home of pop star Miley Cyrus were arrested today.

The suspects, both in their 20s, were arrested in the area of Lankershim and Chandler boulevards by detectives who recognized one of them from surveillance and other images gathered during the investigation, according to Sgt. Kyle Kirkman of the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood Station.

Their names were withheld because they had not yet been booked, he said.

The Maserati was found Monday afternoon in Simi Valley, police said.

Officers called around 4 p.m. Friday to Cyrus' home determined that a male and female scaled a fence to gain access to the property, then entered the home and garage and made off with a 2014 four-door Maserati Quattroporte and items including jewelry, police said.

Evidence collected at Cyrus' home and where the Maserati was recovered led investigators to the area where the suspects were arrested, Kirkman said.

They were expected to be booked on suspicion of burglary and theft of the Maserati, he said.
