Los Angeles police officers said they will conduct an overnight checkpoint for drunken drivers and those without valid licenses in North Hollywood Friday night.
The checkpoint will be at Victory Boulevard at St. Claire Avenue from 8 p.m. tonight and conclude at 2 a.m., according to a department statement.
The checkpoints are funded by state grants, which require that they be announced in advance to deter drunken driving.
