Families of 2 Women Electrocuted in Valley Village Sue LADWP

The families of two good Samaritans that were electrocuted while trying to aid a crash driver are each suing the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for damages in excess of $25,000, according to CBS2.

Last August, Arman Samsonian of Glendale sheared his vehicle into a Valley Village fire hydrant after allegedly driving recklessly. Irma Zamora, 40, and Stacey Schreiber, 39, were killed when they came into contact with water that was exposed to downed power lines.

Samsonian is awaiting trial and has already pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular manslaughter.
