Four Men in a Gunfight Leaves Three Injured in North Hollywood

Two shootings, two pairs of men, but they're all connected, police say.

An exchange of gunfire in North Hollywood between two pairs of men left three people wounded and two suspects -- one wounded -- in police custody today.

The first shooting near Sherman Way and Whitsett Avenue was reported at 1:51 p.m., Los Angeles police Officer Nuria Vanegas said. Police found two wounded men near a body shop, one of them critically hurt, Venegas said, adding that paramedics took them to hospitals.

A second shooting was reported a few minutes later at Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Keswick Street, about a mile north of the first shooting, Venegas said.

A gun was seized from the BMW, but police have not yet determined a motive, Venegas said.
