Fuel Tanker Fire Extinguished in Sun Valley

Los Angeles firefighters knocked down a non-injury fire that broke out Monday in a structure housing a 500-gallon fuel tank in Sun Valley, a fire department spokesman said.

The blaze  at 8250 Tujunga Ave. was reported at 11:36 a.m., said fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

Thirty firefighters were sent to the scene and the flames were reported out in about 11 minutes, Humphrey said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
