Have You Seen This Alleged Attempted Burglar?

Police are looking for a man who was spotted allegedly trying to pry open a sliding door on Miranda Street.

Police are asking for help in identifying an alleged attempted burglar who tried to pry open the backyard sliding door of a residence in the 12100 block of Miranda Street on Sept. 17, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim arrived home in the early afternoon hours and saw the male in his 20s trying to break in and eventually ran off when he was spotted, according to a community alert from LAPD's North Hollywood Division.

While fleeing, one of the victim's neighbors used his cellphone to take several pictures of the alleged attempted burglar, said Det. Noah Stone.

The man who was photographed is between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighs between 150-170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.  Photos of him are attached to this story.
