Local Parents Allegedly Use Stroller to Shoplift

Two parents are caught allegedly placing stolen items into their child's stroller at Costco.

Two North Hollywood parents were arrested last Wednesday for allegedly using their child's stroller to hide stolen items from the Burbank Costco, the Burbank Leader reports.

Store employees say they saw Nerses Vartanian, 40, allegedly place goods in the stroller as his wife, Marusya Hambardzumyan, 30, pushed a shopping cart and stocked it with other items from the shelves, the Leader reports.

The couple paid for the goods and attempted to leave the store, but were stopped by workers, according to the newspaper.
