Man Found Dead in a Vehicle in North Hollywood this Morning

It may be a homicide. Authorities withheld the name of the dead man, who was in his 40s, pending notification of his relatives.

A man was found dead today in a vehicle in North Hollywood, and his death was being investigated as a homicide, authorities said.

The body was discovered about 1 a.m. in the 12000 block of Sylvan Street, said Officer Sally Madera of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations office. No arrests were reported.

Authorities withheld the name of the dead man, who was in his 40s, pending notification of his relatives, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter. The cause of death was not immediately revealed, but the case was being investigated as a homicide, Winter said.
