A suspected gang member who was shot by an undercover Glendale police officer June 21 in North Hollywood while allegedly robbing a man on the street was arrested in the hospital Tuesday, the Glendale News-Press reported.
David Santos, 18, is being treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the torso and was arrested in the alleged robbery. His suspected accomplice, Christopher Rosalio Morales, 21, was charged June 24 with nine felony counts of second-degree robbery, along with gun and gang allegations. It's unclear what Santos has been charged with.
Santos and Morales were allegedly seen robbing a man on a street by two undercover Glendale police officers who were in North Hollywood on an unrelated narcotics investigation. The officers intervened, at Sylvan Street and Colfax Avenue.
Within hours of the shooting incident, police announced they suspected the pair of being responsible for a string of robberies in the area.
