An unidentified male was struck and pinned by a subway train Tuesday in North Hollywood.

An investigation was under way Wednesday into the death of a 54-year-old man who was at the North Hollywood Station.

The man, whose name and hometown have not been released, was listed in grave condition when he arrived at a hospital following the accident, which was
reported at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday at the station at 5350 Lankershim Boulevard,
authorities said.

He was pronounced dead just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Marc Lucio of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Transit Services Bureau.
