Man With Alzheimer's Reported Missing in North Hollywood

A 63-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer's disease and dementia went missing from North Hollywood Saturday and police asked for the public's help in locating him.

Dionicio Abarca was last seen about 3 a.m. at his residence in the 5700 block of Fair Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Abarca, who is need of medication, is Hispanic, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes and was wearing a pink dress shirt, navy pants, black shoes and a blue baseball cap when he was last seen.

Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts was urged to contact the watch commander at the LAPD's North Hollywood Station at (818) 623-4016.
