Motorcyclist Killed in Sun Valley is Identified

A motorcyclist killed in a crash in Sun Valley was a Los Angeles resident, the coroner's office said Monday.

The motorcyclist was Robert Nathaniel Diaz, 33, of Los Angeles, said coroner's Lt. Joe Bale.

Diaz was riding a 2012 Triumph Bonneville motorcycle northbound on Tujunga Avenue near Valerio Street when he struck the passenger side of a 1986 Toyota Corolla making a left turn from southbound Tujunga Avenue to eastbound Valerio Street around 6 p.m. Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. He died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 47-year-old North Hollywood man, was not injured. He was the car's lone occupant.
