No injuries were reported in an early Thursday morning fire at a tire shop at Sherman Way and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The structure fire at Discount Tire Centers was phoned in at 12:34 a.m. and was knocked down by firefighters at 1:03 a.m., said LAFD Spokesman Brian Humphrey.
City News Service reported that heavy smoke was pouring from the one-story building. But Humphrey said he did not know yet if the fire damaged the exterior of the business.
LAFD HazMat was at the scene around 11:30 a.m. investigating the cause of the blaze.
