UPDATE : Missing Woman with Alzheimer's Disease Located
Lavern Lake is safe after she wandered off from her apartment Saturday afternoon.
UPDATE: A woman with Alzheimer's disease who wandered away from her home Saturday afternoon has been located, according to an LAPD alert posted just after 8 p.m. Saturday.
EARLIER: North Hollywood police are seeking a woman who walked out of her apartment in the 12900 block of Vanowen Saturday afternoon.
According to police, Lavern Lake suffers from Alzheimer's diease and is approximately 80 years old.

Units are patrolling the area near Vanowen Street and Coldwater Canyon Avenue. They are actively seeking Lake because of her condition.
She was last seen wearing a black hoody, black pants and brown slippers.

Police were contacted about Lake's appearance at approximately 2:40 p.m. Saturday.
