A vehicle being chased by police from the scene of an attempted burglary crashed into a pole in Sun Valley Sunday night, injuring four people, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 8:47 p.m. in the 9300 block of Glenoaks Boulevard, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The pursuit lasted three to four minutes, as four suspects inside the car were chased from the scene of an attempted burglary in the 9100 block of Sunland Boulevard then the driver lost control, said Sgt. Scott Kennedy of the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill Station.

"They got into the place and were confronted by the resident who contacted police so they fled the scene," Kennedy said.

One of the injured was trapped in the wreckage, Humphrey said.

All four suspects were transported to hospitals for treatment, Kennedy said. One was admitted and three were to be released to police for booking after treatment.

The crash downed power lines, Humphrey said.
