Police Seek Public's Help in Finding Man Possibly Connected to NoHo Murder

Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a 39-year-old woman in a North Hollywood home sought the public's help today in finding a man who lived with her and is considered a person of interest.

Officers responded around 11:30 a.m. Saturday to a report of a dead body inside a residence in the 7100 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue and found the woman, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The person of interest -- Herman Escobar Archila -- lived with the victim and may have been married to her, said Sgt. William Mann, watch commander of the LAPD's North Hollywood Station.

Investigators believe Archila may flee to Mexico if he hasn't done so already, Mann said.

The victim's name was being withheld pending notification of loved ones, a coroner's lieutenant said.

Detectives at the LAPD's North Hollywood station urged anyone with information regarding Archila's whereabouts to call them at (818) 623-4016.
