Police Station Open House on Saturday

Check out police gear and enjoy live music.

Residents can learn about how their local police force works and enjoy a fun afternoon of food and entertainment Saturday at the annual North Hollywood Community Police Station Open House.

Starting at 11 a.m., attendees can take a free tour of the station and check out SWAT team and bomb unit equipment, said Capt. Peter Whittingham.

"When you see officers in the street, you don't get to know them as well, come into our house and see how things work," he said.
