Postal Worker Reportedly Robbed at Gunpoint for Mail Skeleton Keys

The holdup occurs on the 14500 block of Calvert Street in North Hollywood around noon.

A United States Postal Service mail carrier reported being robbed at gunpoint today around noon on the 14500 block of Calvert Street in North Hollywood. The only item reportedly stolen was the worker's mail skeleton key chain, which opens mailboxes and apartment building doors on his route.

Officer Cleon Joseph with the LAPD Media Relations Division confirmed that the robbery report occurred and said the robbers' vehicle was described as a blue Honda. Information heard over the police scanner described the two robbers as being a male Hispanic and a female Hispanic, with the male described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall, having a shaved bald head and wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. A semi-automatic gun was described as the weapon used.
