Railroad Track Fire Extinguished

No injuries are reported in the early morning blaze near Sherman Way.

Firefighters Tuesday put out a fire fueled by railroad ties, trash and some film-set props along a stretch of railroad tracks in North Hollywood.

The blaze in the area of Lankershim Boulevard and Sherman Way was reported just after 3 a.m., said a Los Angeles Fire Department captain who described it as "a rubbish fire."

The fire consumed some railroad ties and several movie props in a storage yard, according to a news photographer at the scene.
