Luis Solano, 20, who in Studio City last Friday—causing a —was charged today on two felony counts of being an accessory after the fact to a killing Nov. 18.
Solano, of Canoga Park, was in court Tuesday afternoon in Van Nuys facing one count of being an accessory after the fact in the shooting death of 20-year-old Pedro Mendez, and one count of short-barreled shotgun or rifle activity.
The felony charges also include a street gang allegation.
North Hollywood Division of the Los Angeles Police d a composite sketch and surveillance video stills of the two suspects after the shooting that occurred at approximately 1:05 a.m. in an alley near the corner of Whittsett Avenue and Sherman Way in North Hollywood.
Last Friday, a police officer spotted Solano near on Friday, and that school as well as and the were in a lockdown without incident for three hours.
Previously, Andy Jacquez, 19, pleaded not guilty to charges of being an accessory to murder, unlawful firearm activity and possessing a short-barreled shotgun. He is expected to be in court in Van Nuys on Wednesday.
