Two Charged With Burglary, Theft of Miley Cyrus' Maserati

An Arizona man and woman remain behind bars Tuesday, awaiting a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to require them to stand trial on charges of burglarizing pop star Miley Cyrus' North Hollywood home and stealing her Maserati sports car and other items.

Tylor Scott, 19, and Naomi Charles, 21, are charged with one felony count each of first-degree residential burglary, grand theft of personal property, grand theft auto and unlawful driving or taking of a vehicle — all stemming from the May 30 break-in at Cyrus' home.

Jewelry, clothing and purses worth thousands of dollars, along with the Maserati, were taken during the burglary, according to prosecutors.

Scott is also charged with one count each of first-degree residential burglary and grand theft firearm in connection with the May 15 burglary of a Woodland Hills home, where a 9 mm Luger handgun was stolen, according to prosecutors.

Cyrus' 2014 white, four-door Maserati Quattroporte was found June 2 in Simi Valley.

Scott and Charles — who have remained jailed since they were arrested June 5 — pleaded not guilty late Monday.

Scott was being held in lieu of $150,000 bail and faces up to nine years in state prison if convicted as charged, according to the District Attorney's Office. Charles, whose bail was set at $100,000, would face up to seven years and eight months in state prison, according to the District Attorney's Office.

The two are due back in court June 18 for a preliminary hearing, according to the District Attorney's Office.
