Law enforcement officials looking to serve a warrant on a man in a North Hollywood apartment complex were unable to find him, police said Wednesday.
The U.S. Marshals Service and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department attempted to serve the warrant around 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 5200 block of Corteen Place, near Magnolia Boulevard, said Officer Bruce Borihanh, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
Just before 7 p.m. both the U.S. Marshals Service and the sheriff's department asked for the help of the Los Angeles Police Department to get the suspect out, Borihanh said.
An LAPD SWAT team was called in and found the suspect was not at the location, said Lt. Bryan Lium of the LAPD's North Hollywood Station.
It was unclear why the warrant was being served.
