Pacoima

A 25-year-old man was killed Wednesday night in what police said was a gang-related drive-by shooting in Pacoima.

The shooting happened around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of Kagel Canyon Street and Telfair Avenue, where a car pulled up to the victim and a male inside fired multiple rounds, said Officer Christopher No of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

The victim, who suffered at least one gunshot wound to the back, was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he was pronounced dead, No said.

Lake View Terrace

Human remains were found Saturday near a shallow grave that was spotted two weeks ago in Big Tujunga Canyon, sheriff's deputies said.

Homicide detectives and a sheriff's search and rescue team were sent up Big Tujunga Canyon Road, about 3 miles into the Angeles National Forest, above the Lake View terrace section of Los Angeles, the Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies went to the same rural area Jan. 9 on a report from hikers who said they found an apparent shallow grave -- but no human remains -- at Big Tujunga Canyon Road, mile marker 2.92, according to a department statement.

Detectives were waiting for the arrival of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Special Operations Response Team today.

Sheriff's homicide detectives asked anyone with any information regarding the human remains to call them at (323) 890-5500.

San Fernando

A murder suspect, who allegedly stabbed another man in the rear parking lot of a San Fernando Valley business last fall, was arrested at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry in San Diego and brought back to Los Angeles County, where he was being held today on $1.7 million bail.

A computer check revealed that 37-year-old Andre Arriaga-Preciado, who entered the border station on foot about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, was a fugitive homicide suspect, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials.

Arriaga-Preciado was later transported to the Lakewood Sheriff's Station, where he was booked on suspicion of murder, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.

Arriaga-Preciado is accused of fatally stabbing Diego Martinez, 27, during an argument about 2:30 a.m.  Oct. 6 in the 1100 block of East First Street in San Fernando.

Reseda

Dear tbs, Deon Coles black box is the worst tv show ever. Though it is hosted by a black man, it'sRead More a show based on pointing fun and rude Racist jokes directed toward black people. If there was a white host it would be considered racist but because a black man was appointed to be host , you might have figured we wouldn't be offended but we are and I can't speak for all but I feel like resist jokes aren't ok regardless of who is telling them and I would like tbs to take down this show or atleast change the points in the show ! -signed, Kalil Stimpson
