Boutique Hotel; Gastropub Liquor License Request Up for Neighborhood Council Vote

Votes involving two big NoHo projects are heading to the board of directors of the Mid-Town NoHo Neighborhood Council on Wednesday.

First up is request by incoming gastropub Fat Dog for a conditional use permit to serve beer, wine and hard liquor. The restaurant is currently in the process of relocating from its Montrose spot to the former location of the Avery Schreiber Theatre.

A recommendation for a boutique hotel to overtake the site of the now-shuttered Maximillian's Restaurant is also up for discussion. Ikon Hospitality bought the 18,230-square-foot lot at 11326 Weddington Ave. a few months after Maximillian's went out of business. The property includes an large parking lot and an on-site duplex used for storage.

The proposed project stands at four stories tall and is designed to house 43 guest rooms.

The Mid-Town NoHo Neighborhood Council meets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the North Hollywood Parks Senior Center. 5301 Tujunga Ave.
