California House Dems Overwhelmingly Back Howard Berman Against Brad Sherman

Press release from the Berman camp. By a 23-2 margin, Cal Democrats in Congress Endorse Berman

Congressman Howard L. Berman (D-Valley Village) announced today that 23 Democratic members of Congress from California have endorsed his campaign for the newly created 30th Congressional District.  These 23 members represent an overwhelming majority of California’s Democratic delegation in Congress.  Only two members (out of a total of 34 Democrats) of the delegation are backing Brad Sherman.

“I’m proud to have so many of my California colleagues standing with me and supporting my campaign,” said Congressman Berman.  “Our colleagues work day in and day out with Brad and me, they see firsthand our work on behalf of California.  This endorsement is evidence that when it comes getting things accomplished, I’m more than just another vote or just another voice – I deliver.”

“With each passing day, there are more people coming forward and saying ‘I’m with Howard’,” added Berman.  “I’ve received hundreds of endorsements, from Democrats and Republicans alike. The momentum surrounding my campaign is palpable, and I’m honored so many people from the San Fernando Valley are getting behind me.”

“It is unprecedented.  23 members of the delegation are willing to stand up and be counted against a fellow Democratic incumbent and for Democratic Congressman Howard L. Berman.” commented Berman Campaign Manager Gene Smith.

Earlier this week the Berman campaign announced it received the support of all five members of the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, who cover the political spectrum.  The members include two conservative Republicans, Mike Antonovich and Don Knabe, and three liberal Democrats, Zev Yaroslavsky, Gloria Molina, and Mark Ridley-Thomas.

Howard Berman supported bailing out the Wall St banks so the crooks who ruined the economy could continue to get their bonuses. Brad Sherman voted no on the Wall St bailout both times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apRbha_Nodc No wonder the establishment in power want Berman. Their Wall St buddies probably told them to support him.

The 2 members of Congress from the California delegation who have endorsed Sherman are Judy Chu and Grace Napolitano.

Brad Sherman voted to kill Glass-Steagall, he voted for the Commodities Futures Modernization Act, he voted to keep America in the W.T.O. and he has voted for many free trade deals. Brad Sherman is a menace but so is Berman. Vince Gilmore is the only candidate with real solutions.

Brad Sherman is an olde style outdated LBJ Democrat. He is for the D-PARTY over the countries needs and voter's interests in the present day. His Town Hall meetings are rigged and a sham because only his pet supporters (who got favors from him) get to speak to him in the public microphone time. All others get to pick a ticket number and wait till the next Town Hall Meeting in six months. GOOD LUCK! I have been to several of these shams and seen it over and over. His frightened and protective staff are rude, heavy handed and much like SEIU thugs at public events when it comes to voters speaking to their employee, Mr Sherman. I voted for the Republican that challeged him but lost. I think therefore I vote Republican in this race.

@AG @AG Please look into Vince Gilmore. I see why you would vote for the Republican this time around but the issue is that a vote for Shelley or Reed is almost like voting for Brad Sherman or Howard Berman. Neither of the Republican candidates will change anything they are both pro war, they do not touch the issue of free trade or derivatives and basically will only uphold our Constitution when they choose to do so. Vince Gilmore is running on a Constitutional/Protectionist platform, will never stray from the Constitution and has real solutions.
