LACDP Chair and NoHo Resident Eric C. Bauman Named Delegate to Democratic National Convention

The convention will be held in Charlotte this year.

Editor's Note: The following press release comes from the office for Eric C. Bauman, who is Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party and Vice-Chair of the California Democratic Party, as well as a resident of North Hollywood according to his Facebook page.

Eric C. Bauman, Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party and Vice-Chair of the California Democratic Party issued the following statement on being named an At-Large Delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC.

"I'm honored to have the opportunity to represent our great state in Charlotte and join Democrats from across California and around the country in casting our ballots for the renomination of President Barack Obama.

It was at the 2004 DNC that a young unknown State Senator from Illinois delivered a powerful speech declaring there is not a red America, not a Blue America, only the United States of America.

In 2008 Barack Obama took the Convention stage again to accept the Party's nomination for President of the United States and inspired our nation with hope, optimism and a renewed sense of the American possibilities.

Four years later, President Obama will address the nation to discuss the incredible progress his administration has made in the midst of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

The President's accomplishments in his first term include bringing an end to the war in Iraq; ending Don't Ask, Don't Tell; passing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act; healthcare reform for all Americans; investing billions in our nation through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act; and ending Osama bin Laden's reign of terror permanently.

Most recently, President Obama delivered hope to a new generation when he ceased deportations of young immigrants brought to our nation by their parents, giving them the opportunity to work legally.

While Democrats will celebrate the accomplishments and hard work done over these last four years, President Obama will draw the stark contrast between his vision for an economy that works for all Americans, and Mitt Romney's plan to return to the disastrous policies of George W. Bush."

Hi! Yes, something is definitely happening there. I've stopped by a few times in hopes of bumpingRead More into the new owner but I haven't been so lucky. I've left my business card with a few construction workers but no one has gotten back to me so far. From what the workers told me, it's going to be a new restaurant. Those are all the details I have for now, but I'll keep you posted as soon as I found out more. Thanks!
