Mid-Town NoHo Site Hacked; Here's the Agenda for Wednesday

Plans of a new pedestrian bridge in North Hollywood and what to do with the council's broken website are slated for discussion.

The Mid-Town NoHo Neighborhood Council was recently hacked, making it a little tricky for getting access to upcoming agendas, but Patch has you covered.

Attached to this article is the full agenda for Wednesday's board of directors meeting at the Senior Citizens Center at North Hollywood Park.

Board President Mary Garcia told Patch that the council's website was hacked and that it remains down.

A discussion about what do with the broken website is on tap, including a presentation by North Hollywood Toyota about possibly building a pedestrian bridge across Lankershim Blvd. at Hortense Street.

The board of directors meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

If the pedestrian bridge gets approved, it'll be a chance for NoHo to finally get a sign it deserves....rather than that gawdawful NoHo sign we have.

When that first came up I suggested to the dealership that the northbound side should say "Bienvenido North Hollywood" and the south bound should say "Bienvenido Universal City". This would keep in the traditional way of welcoming street overhead signs as well as recognizing our rich Spanish heritage. Note: "NoHo" has no class. The current sign, you either love it or hate it.

Ugh, Bob, why do you represent us? That's a horrible idea. If you're going to go Spanish, then you may as well go Thai, Tagalog, Armenian and all the other strong minorities that represent the area.

Bob has yet to come up with anything that the people of NoHo actually would want. That's horribly depressing. Hopefully his "idea" does not come to fruition. I saw a simple sign from NoHo in New York City that was made of simple Xmas lights in cursive spelling NoHo and it looked super classy. I'll see if I can find it.
