Congressman Xavier Becerra, D-Los Angeles, chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, presented Monday the Congressional Award Silver Medal to William Chung, a senior at North Hollywood High and resident of Koreatown.
Chung earned the silver medal by setting and achieving challenging goals in four program areas that include: public service, personal development, physical fitness and expedition/exploration.

Congress established the Congressional Award in 1979 to recognize initiative, achievement and service in young people.
