There’s only a dozen days left until the Colfax World Fair – possibly the biggest annual event in all of Valley Village. Every day we’ll be featuring a great attraction, event or game, food vendor, entertainment act and silent auction that you’ll find at this fun-filled fair.
Attraction: Mini Obstacle
This inflatable has two crawl-through holes, two-person climber, a two person 5-foot slide, pop-ups, logs, and two crawl-through barrels. Or you can call it kiddie boot camp.
Special Event: Art by Karina Face Painting and Tattoos
The grandmaster of face painting and temporary tattoo artistry will once again be adding some brilliant color to the fair. Her work is unlike any other face painting you will ever see. She is not only talented, she is also fast. This fair will certainly be filled with tigers, kittens and angry birds.
Food Vendor: Hayat’s Kitchen
Hayat’s Kitchen is new to the Colfax World Fair, and they’re cooking up some delicious Lebanese food, including ground beef or chicken kabobs, rice, hummus, salad and baklava. Their restaurant is located on the northwest corner of Burbank Boulevard and Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood, so if you love them at the fair, you’re sure to become regular customers.
Entertainment: 1st graders sing
Bet you haven’t heard this version of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” It’s the same tune done to the lyrics “Take Me Out of the Bathtub.” No, you’ll have to use your own bathtub to wash up after spending a hot day at the Colfax World Fair.
Silent Auction Item: Universal Studios
You could be the lucky winner of 4 free admissions to Universal Studios Hollywood, including front of the line passes. It’s kind of like being a celebrity for a day at the theme park that features celebrities.
The Colfax Word Fair takes place Saturday, June 2nd from 12:00 noon – 7:00 pm at Colfax Charter Elementary School, 11724 Addison St., Valley Village, 91607. Admission is free and all money raised pays for student programs at Colfax. Silent auction items can be viewed by logging clicking here.
