East Valley High Boys Basketball Team Celebrates Its Best Season Ever

Take a look at this week's Whiz Kids, the Falcons.

Even though the season isn't over and the playoffs begin Thursday evening, the East Valley High boys basketball team can already celebrate its most successful season ever. Just four years into the history of the school and the program, the Falcons this year in the Valley League.

The Falcons finished the regular season with a 14-5 0verall record and a 10-2 league record, and will host Central City at 7 p.m. Thursday. 

The Falcons went down to the wire with Sherman Oaks CES for the league title. But despite having beaten them in January, the Falcons in the final game of the regular season, which was a battle for first place. However, if both teams win their playoff games Thursday, they will play each other again.

But regardless of how the rest of the season goes, the East Valley High boys basketball team and its head coach, Matt Skeadas, deserve a major salute for establishing such a solid program in just a few short years of existence, and that is why the Falcons are North Hollywood-Toluca Lake Patch's Whiz Kids of the Week.
