Blog: 1st Annual Grant HS Film & Art Festival

The community is invited to the 1st annual Grant Film & Art Festival on Friday, May 3rd, 2013 from 6-10 p.m.

Grant High School will debut its 1st annual Grant Film & Art Festival on Friday, May 3, 2012 from 6-10 p.m Students, teachers, families and community will come together to enjoy an evening filled with the creative and artistic talents of Grant High School students.

The evening will include Student Films, an Art Gallery, Dance Performance, Tower Building Competition by Physic students, Chalk Art and an Open Mic Performance Stage. The entertainment schedule includes a live DJ, a gourmet Food Truck, a Silent Auction and music by the school house band, Red Autumn.

“We are excited to be showcasing these works for the community. The collaboration between students, staff and faculty has produced enormous energy and resulted in impressive bodies of work. The students should be commended for their dedication and hard work,” said David Guest, film teacher at Grant, who is in charge of bringing this exciting event to the community.

The festival will be held on the Grant High School campus, 13000 Oxnard St Valley Glen, CA and is open to the public. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased by calling the Magnet Office at 818-756-2776. Grant students created all art and media works that will be showcased at the festival.
