Week Ahead: Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, Trivia at the Federal and More

Monday

Think you're the king or queen of random knowledge? Prove it. Head to the Federal Bar at 8 p.m. for the latest installment of the new King Trivia event. 5303 Lankershim Blvd. 4923 Lankershim Blvd.

It's time for Metal Mondays at Skinny's Lounge. Five local hardcore rock bands are set to take the stage kicking off at 8:15 p.m. Cover is $5 at the door. Click here for lineup and event info. 

Tuesday

Jazz group the Silver Lake Trio will play their free weekly show starting at 8 p.m. at Bob's Espresso Bar. 5251 Lankershim Blvd.

NoHo resident and pianist Randy Emata will be performing in the back lounge of the Federal Bar. He specializes in playing the smoother groovier side of jazz/R&B/pop along with Michael Reason on drums and William Matthew Taylor on bass. Show is free and starts at 8 p.m. 5303 Lankershim Blvd.

It's open mic night for aspiring and amateur comedians at The Other Door bar from 7-11 p.m. 10437 Burbank Blvd.

Wednesday

The Federal Bar is hosting Hilarious Hump Day, an evening featuring the stand-up antics of Marina Quintero, Eli Nicolas and Edwin San Juan. Tickets are $15 and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Click here for more info.

Thursday

The Burbank Community YMCA is hosting its 4th Annual Turkey Trot. Enjoy an early morning run or walk on a double-loop course through downtown Burbank and support a great cause, the Burbank Y’s membership assistance program, which 
makes its facilities and programs available to the children and families in our community who need us the most, regardless of ability to pay. 321 E. Magnolia Blvd. Click here for event info. 

First Baptist Church of North Hollywood will be serving a free down-home holiday dinner on Thanksgiving day from noon to 1:30 p.m. 11210 Otsego St. Click here for info.
